166 politicians sit in the Dail
They rise to the top then quickly fall
When corrupted with greed no more we can trust
These arrogant people who for money lust
They promise and promise until we elect
Once in the Dail they quickly forget
Amnesia sets in as their ego's grow
They tell us to trust them while stooping so low
Our Minister for Health is dumb and obese
Good practice is rare, her mind's a disease
Inept and incompetent she should now resign
But in her riddled mind she is doing just fine
Our Taoiseach's a Biffo who lacks social grace
A meglomaniac who's a waste of space
He sold us to Europe just to make his job easy
Accepted the bailout with conditions so measly
The men of '16 now turn in their graves
Those patriotic martyrs whose lives they gave
To give us the right to determine our future
National pride they tried to nurture
We got rid of the British and for a while we were free
The brave men of '16 smiled down from heaven with glee
Now we have sold out to Europe for the smell of a cent
We are a province again.......this is not what was meant!
